Seven Khawarij dead in two North Waziristan IBOs: ISPR

RAWALPINDI (92 News) Security forces have gunned down seven terrorists in the North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) in two separate operations.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an intelligence-based operation (IBO) was conducted by the security forces in the Mir Ali area.

During the operation, the forces effectively engaged the hideout of the India-backed Khawarij and eliminated six terrorists after an intense exchange of fire.

During another IBO in the Spinwam area, one more Kharji was neutralised by the security forces in an ensuing gunfight.

A large cache of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the slain Khawarij, who had been involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces, law enforcement agencies, and innocent civilians.

Sanitisation operations were also launched in the areas to eliminate any other Kharji as a relentless counterterrorism campaign under the vision “Azm e Istehkam” continues with full force.
